Black Clover is a Japanese manga series written and illustrated by Yūki Tabata. The story follows Asta, a young boy born without any magic power. This is unknown to the world he lives in because seemingly everyone has some sort of magic power.

Yami Sukehiro , born as Sukehiro Yami , is a descendant of the Yami Clan from the Hino Country. As a child, he fled the country and shipwrecked in the Clover Kingdom, where he later joined the Grey Deer squad of the Magic Knights and became the first captain of the Black Bull squad.
