Sam, or Samhain, is the brainchild of film director/writer Michael Dougherty, appearing as the main protagonist in Dougherty’s 1996 short film Season’s Greetings and one of the three main protagonists (alongside Rhonda and Laurie) of the 2007 horror comedy anthology film Trick ‘r Treat.
